Golovin declines to discuss Safonov's condition

Russia national team midfielder Aleksandr Golovin commented on Matvey Safonov’s lack of playing time at PSG. It has been reported that Safonov has not played a single game during the 2025/2026 season so far.

"We have not discussed this topic with him," Golovin told Metaratings. It is worth noting that Aleksandr Golovin also plays in France and is currently in his eighth season with AS Monaco.

On Wednesday, the Russian national team played to a 1-1 draw with Peru in a BetBoom friendly match. During the game, Golovin scored a goal, while Safonov made an error that allowed the opposition to equalize.

The Russian national team will play their next BetBoom match against the Chilean team on November 15.
