Lothar Matthäus Compares Upamecano and Schlotterbeck

Former German national team and Bayern Munich player Lothar Matthäus compared the performances of two central defenders, Dayot Upamecano and Nico Schlotterbeck. According to Matthäus, Upamecano has shown significant improvement recently in Munich, while Schlotterbeck has continued his development at Borussia Dortmund.

Nevertheless, Matthäus highlighted Upamecano as a slightly faster and more consistent player. In his opinion, Schlotterbeck has begun to make errors in recent matches.

“If I must choose, I prefer Dayot,” Sky Sport quoted Matthäus as saying. Following Matchday 14 of the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich remains at the top of the standings, while Borussia Dortmund holds third place.
