Sebastian Szymanski now plays for France’s Rennes

Midfielder Sebastian Szymanski, who also played for Moscow’s Dynamo, will continue his career in France — he has become a Rennes player. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .
According to Transfermarkt, the French club paid €9.5 million for the player, who previously played for Turkey’s Fenerbahce.
In the 2025/2026 season, Szymanski featured in 26 matches across all club competitions, scoring 2 goals and providing 2 assists.
The 26-year-old’s contract with Rennes runs until June 30, 2029. His market value is estimated at €12 million.
Szymanski is currently recovering from an injury: he has a groin strain. It is not yet clear when he will return to the pitch.
