Robin van Persie defends Raheem Sterling

Feyenoord head coach Robin van Persie has strongly reacted to the criticism directed at Raheem Sterling. The coach expressed his anger over the "sarcasm and lack of respect" shown towards the player for his performances in the Eredivisie. This is reported by Goal.com reports .
After the match against PEC Zwolle, Van Persie emphasized that Sterling's illustrious career deserves respect. According to him, a player who has performed at a high level in the Premier League for years does not deserve such treatment.
"I cannot understand the sarcastic atmosphere around him. He is a player who has scored 200 goals in England and played 82 matches for the national team. The Dutch football community is showing disrespect towards such an experienced player," said the former striker.
Although Sterling has proven himself at clubs like Liverpool, Manchester City, and Chelsea, his adaptation process in the Netherlands is proving difficult. However, Van Persie reminded that the player's past achievements are more important than his current form.
