Uzbekistan Cup: AGMK and Kokand-1912 advance to the playoffs
The final round matches of Group A in the Uzbekistan Cup have taken place, deciding the fate of the playoff spots. Following the conclusion of the round, AGMK and Kokand-1912 successfully qualified for the Round of 16.
AGMK hosted Aral and secured a 2-1 victory. With this result, the Almalyk side accumulated 7 points in the group and advanced to the next stage in first place.
Ali Abdurahmonov opened the scoring in the 36th minute. At the end of the first half, Shahzod Toirov scored the second goal, strengthening AGMK's lead. In the 67th minute, Mark Krasnov scored a consolation goal for Aral, but it was not enough for the visitors to change the outcome.
In another crucial group match, Metallurg faced Kokand-1912. A draw would have been enough for the Bekabad side to advance, but Kokand-1912 won 2-0 to secure their playoff ticket.
Shohrux Gadoyev opened the scoring for the Kokand side in the 48th minute. In the 80th minute, Muhammadanas Hasanov scored the second goal, sealing an important victory for his team.
