Raphinha reveals he rejected offers from two London clubs for Barcelona

Barcelona winger Raphinha shared details about his departure from Leeds United in 2022. The Brazilian footballer revealed that he turned down offers from two major London clubs, Chelsea and Arsenal, to move to Camp Nou. The player called this choice the best decision of his professional career. This is reported by Goal.com reports .
In an interview with TNT Sports Brasil, the 27-year-old forward spoke about the transfer saga at the time. "I had offers from the 'blue' and 'red' teams in London, but the best decision of my career was signing with Barcelona," Raphinha emphasized. It is known that at the time, the Premier League giants were in a serious battle to sign him.
Raphinha preferred to follow in the footsteps of legendary compatriots like Ronaldinho and Neymar rather than choose the financially attractive English clubs. Since moving to the Catalan club, he has become one of the team's key figures and has contributed to their domestic success. Despite various transfer rumors, the winger continues to demonstrate his loyalty to the club.
During the conversation, Raphinha also answered a question about which player he would like to play with in modern football. He mentioned Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane. "He has the ability to see the pitch and scores incredible goals. I put him among the great players. He is almost at a genius level," said the Brazilian star.
Currently, Barcelona is working on strengthening the squad. Although sporting director Deco says it is difficult to find a suitable replacement for Robert Lewandowski, whose contract is expiring, it is reported that Chelsea forward João Pedro and Atlético Madrid representative Julián Álvarez are on the club's shortlist.
