Uzbekistan Taekwondo Athletes Win More Medals at Asian Championship

The second day of the World Taekwondo Asian Championship in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, has concluded. Happily, representatives of the Uzbekistan national team once again managed to reach the podium in today's bouts.

According to the National Olympic Committee, our athletes secured 2 bronze medals in the intense fights on the second day. This result demonstrates that our national team is performing consistently at the continental championship and is competing seriously for prizes in every weight category.

Omonjon Otajonov, competing in the -58 kg weight category, performed worthily against strong opponents and ultimately earned a bronze medal. His podium finish once again confirmed the competitiveness of Uzbekistan taekwondo in this weight class.

Additionally, Najmiddin Qosimhojiyev, who participated in the -74 kg category, added another medal to our team's tally. After intense and sharp contests, he also secured third place and claimed a bronze medal at the Asian Championship.

These medals are not only a personal success for our athletes but also hold significant importance for the team's overall result. The Asian Championship is always a field of strong competition. Every victory here requires great effort, preparation, and mental stability.

As a reminder, the Uzbekistan national team also won 1 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze medal on the first day of the competition. The two bronze medals on the second day further enriched our team's medal collection.
