Bayern Munich proposes surprise swap deal for Anthony Gordon transfer

Bayern Munich is considering a surprise swap deal to secure one of their primary transfer targets, Anthony Gordon. According to Bild, the German giants could include goalkeeper Alexander Nübel in the deal. The fact that Newcastle United is currently looking for a new goalkeeper increases the likelihood of this transfer. This is reported by Goal.com reports .

Alexander Nübel's loan at VfB Stuttgart ends on June 30. Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund stated that the club will rely on the trio of Manuel Neuer, Jonas Urbig, and Sven Ulreich next season. This means there is no room for Nübel at the Munich club. Newcastle United is currently monitoring several candidates to strengthen their goalkeeping position, including RC Lens player Robin Risser.

Anthony Gordon's transfer fee is set at approximately 80 million euros. Bayern's management aims to significantly reduce this price by including Nübel in the deal. Reports suggest that Gordon has already reached a personal agreement with the German record champions, but negotiations between the clubs are not yet finalized.

Complicating the situation is the fact that 29-year-old goalkeeper Alexander Nübel is currently participating in the World Cup with the German national team. It is also reported that the goalkeeper is awaiting offers from other top English and Italian clubs and is not particularly enthusiastic about moving to Newcastle United. Nevertheless, Bayern intends to continue negotiations.
