Sergio Ramos' plan to acquire Sevilla has collapsed

Negotiations for Real Madrid and Spain legend Sergio Ramos to acquire Sevilla have unexpectedly stalled. The Andalusian club's owners decided to abandon the deal after the former defender and his investment group drastically reduced their proposed offer. This is reported by Goal.com reports .
According to El Desmarque, the parties had signed a letter of intent for a €440 million deal two weeks ago. Under the initial plan, €80 million was to be allocated to increase share capital, €290 million to shareholders, and the remainder to cover the club's net debt. However, the situation changed drastically during Wednesday's meeting.
Sergio Ramos arrived at the negotiating table with a new representative — Roberto Alvarez, a prominent lawyer representing the interests of Mexican investors. The new consortium cut the club's total valuation in half, putting forward a new €220 million offer. Under these new terms, the group aimed to acquire a 42% controlling stake in the club for €120 million.
Sevilla's management deemed this offer completely unacceptable for the club's future and unilaterally terminated negotiations. It turns out that Ramos' new proposal was even lower than offers from other investors that the board of directors had previously rejected. Five months of complex negotiations ended without results.
Sevilla is currently urgently seeking new investors to stabilize its financial situation. As the club must increase its share capital, the management is preparing to start new dialogues with other interested parties.
