Apple projects $1.1B in tariff costs next quarter

Apple expects to incur $1.1 billion (14.3 trillion UZS) in tariff-related costs next quarter, according to TechCrunch.com.

The projected expense stems from ongoing U.S.–China trade disputes and newly imposed tariffs on Chinese-made imports.

Apple stated that many of its components and devices are produced in China, making them subject to high import duties, which could significantly impact profits.

As a response, the company is exploring shifting parts of its supply chain to other countries, with Vietnam and India being top considerations.

Analysts warn that the increased production costs could eventually raise product prices for consumers.

So far, Apple has not officially announced any retail price changes.
