OpenAI considers suing Apple

According to Bloomberg, OpenAI is considering legal action against Apple due to dissatisfaction with their partnership. The leadership at OpenAI is reportedly concerned that ChatGPT integration has failed to deliver the expected subscriber numbers and revenue. This was reported by Techcrunch.com reports .
As part of the partnership announced in June 2024, ChatGPT was integrated into iPhone systems, specifically within Siri and Visual Intelligence features. However, OpenAI complains that these features are not user-friendly and that revenue metrics are significantly below forecasts.
Apple, for its part, is dissatisfied with OpenAI's privacy standards and the company's attempts to enter the hardware market. These moves, led by former Apple design chief Jony Ive, have further strained the relationship between the two companies.
This situation is another reminder of Apple's complex history with partners. Previously, giants like Google, Adobe, and Spotify have faced various issues due to Apple's policy of maintaining total control over its platform.
