Long-awaited news for Windows 11 users: taskbar customization options

Microsoft has brought back a feature that many users have long awaited in Windows 11. In new beta versions, the ability to move the taskbar to any side of the screen — top, bottom, left, or right — has appeared. This feature, which was standard in Windows 10, had been restricted since the release of Windows 11. This is reported by Ixbt.com .

The new update not only allows for positioning the panel but also introduces a compact mode. It is now possible to reduce the panel height and shrink icons, which helps save workspace, especially on laptops and devices with small screens. Microsoft has adapted the interface to the new layout, making the Start menu and search system adjust according to the panel's position.

Additionally, the company has improved the "Never combine" feature for multi-window users. Now, task and window names are displayed separately on the vertical panel, which makes working with multiple applications simultaneously much more convenient.

For now, these changes are only available to Windows Insider program participants. With these steps, Microsoft aims to move away from the initially restricted Windows 11 interface and transform it into a more user-friendly and flexible environment.
