SpaceX tests water system for Starship

A video released by NASA Spaceflight shows an operator standing near the Water Deluge System (WDS) at the Starship launch pad. This is a powerful water cooling and noise suppression system that activates seconds before the rocket launches. During the test, a massive volume of water was sprayed under and around the pad, resembling a waterfall. This was reported by Ixbt.com. reports.
This system is designed to mitigate the shock wave, vibration, and extreme acoustic pressure generated by the 33 Raptor engines on the Super Heavy rocket. Without the system, the immense energy during launch could cause serious damage to the launch pad and infrastructure. The video shows the thick fog and spray created by the water flow completely obscuring the person.
SpaceX is meticulously fine-tuning the system ahead of the upcoming Starship flight. The next flight will test the new generation Starship equipped with Raptor 3 engines. Raptor 3 engines feature higher thrust, efficiency, and a simplified design compared to their predecessors, increasing the reusability of the Starship V3 system.
Starship is a fully reusable super-heavy rocket system being developed by Elon Musk's SpaceX. It is designed to transport cargo and people to Earth orbit, the Moon, and Mars. Specialists are currently preparing all systems for the next flight.
