10-Hour Competition Between Figure AI Robots and Humans

The US-based company Figure AI organized an interesting competition between AI-powered robots and humans. In the 10-hour challenge, both sides competed in sorting boxes. A team of human interns and three humanoid robots took turns processing cargo. This was reported by Ixbt.com reports .
According to the competition rules, participants had to scan the barcode on packages and place them correctly on a conveyor belt. While humans took legally mandated lunch and short breaks, the robots worked autonomously without any stops.
According to the final results, humans sorted 12,926 packages, while robots sorted 12,757. Robots processed each box in an average of 2.83 seconds, while humans achieved 2.79 seconds. Although the robots lost by a small margin, their efficiency was highly rated by experts.
Figure AI founder and CEO Brett Adcock called this result an important step toward commercializing humanoid robots. The fact that robots can work tirelessly for long periods and perform almost on par with humans indicates major changes in logistics and manufacturing in the future.
