AMD Ryzen AI Max 400 Pro Announced: Up to 160 GB Video Memory Capability

AMD has officially unveiled its new Ryzen AI Max 400 Pro processor line, designed for workstations and artificial intelligence tasks. The key feature of these chips is support for up to 192 GB of RAM, creating extensive possibilities for working with large AI models. This is reported by Ixbt.com .
In terms of architecture, while these chips are similar to the Strix Halo series, they are more optimized for the corporate segment and professional projects. The system's most significant innovation is the ability to allocate up to 160 GB of the 192 GB unified memory to the integrated graphics (iGPU).
Such technical specifications make the platform highly attractive for running large AI models locally and handling massive datasets without the need for discrete GPUs. AMD has not yet disclosed the exact release dates for these products.
Experts believe the new line serves as an interim solution until the next-generation Medusa Halo chips are released. As a reminder, AMD also introduced 84-core EPYC 8005 processors yesterday and announced pricing for powerful mini-PCs based on the Ryzen AI Max 400 Pro.
