Aeroflot repaints a Boeing 777 in Russia for the first time

Aeroflot has for the first time repainted a wide-body Boeing 777-300ER aircraft at a domestic facility in Russia. The work was carried out at the Spektr Avia facility in Ulyanovsk and took a total of 17 days. This was reported by the airline's official Telegram channel. According to Ixbt.com reports .
Company specialists explain that renewing the paintwork is necessary to maintain the aircraft's appearance and protect it from adverse climatic conditions such as temperature fluctuations, precipitation, and various reagents. Typically, aircraft are repainted every 6–10 years.
During the process, the old coating is completely removed, an anti-corrosion inspection is performed, and then new primer and paint layers are applied. Once the work is completed, the aircraft is re-weighed to calculate its updated mass and center of gravity. For this, fuel and water are drained from the liner, and flight logs, manuals, and household items are removed.
Since 2023, Aeroflot has repainted a total of 31 aircraft, 11 of which were completed this year. While the majority of the painting work was performed at the Spektr Avia base, the livery of several liners was updated at the 407th Civil Aviation Plant in Minsk.
