Statistics: Poverty in Uzbekistan Has Almost Disappeared

According to Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction, the poverty rate dropped to 8.9% in 2024, showing substantial progress compared to the previous 11% rate.
In absolute terms, this means that 719,000 people have moved out of poverty. The most significant improvements were observed in:

🔹 The Republic of Karakalpakstan
