Uzbekistan’s railway freight traffic up 3% in Q1 2025

From January to March 2025, Uzbekistan’s main railway transport carried 27 million tons of cargo, reported uz.kursiv.media citing the National Statistics Committee.

This is 800,000 tons more than the same period last year, reflecting a 3% increase in freight turnover.

In all of 2024, Uzbekistan’s railway system transported nearly 74 million tons of goods, ranking second after road transport in terms of volume.
