Official welcoming ceremony for Jordanian King held in Samarkand

At the invitation of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, King of Jordan Abdullah II ibn al-Hussein is paying a state visit to the country.

Today, August 26, the main events of the visit began in the city of Samarkand with an official welcoming ceremony for the Jordanian leader.

A guard of honor was formed in the square in front of the Congress Center building. The President of Uzbekistan warmly welcomed the high-ranking guest and invited him to the podium.

The military orchestra performed the national anthems of the two countries.

The President of Uzbekistan and the King of Jordan passed the honor guard and welcomed the members of the official delegation.
