Air quality in Tashkent found to be the worst in the world

According to the latest data on September 22, 2025, Tashkent has ranked first in the world for air quality. The air quality index (AQI) in the capital of Uzbekistan reached 629 points, which is the highest indicator among major cities worldwide.

This result places Tashkent among cities facing serious environmental problems such as Lahore, Kinshasa, Dubai, and Delhi. The ranking shows that the city is facing significant issues related to atmospheric pollution.
