Uzbek and Old Uzbek languages are taught at Oxford University

Oxford University has taken another important step as one of the centers of world science - now Uzbek and Old Uzbek languages are studied at this famous institution. This was announced by the head of the presidential administration, Saida Mirziyoyeva.

He noted that the Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at Oxford University demonstrated deep respect and interest in our country\'s cultural heritage by including the Uzbek language in its programs.

Saida Mirziyoyeva also expressed her satisfaction with receiving the award presented by the university administration for her work.

\"This award is a high assessment of the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan under the leadership of our president to protect the rights of women and expand their opportunities,\" she said.

During the visit, Mirziyoyeva also got acquainted with the Bodleian Library, which is considered the scientific treasure of Oxford. It was noted that this library houses unique masterpieces of world culture - Mirzo Ulugbek\'s \"Ziji Kuragoniy,\" Alisher Navoi\'s \"Khamsa,\" Husayn Bayqara\'s \"Devoni Husayniy,\" as well as miniatures from the Mughal period.

\"Every book kept here is a living witness not only to science, but also to the world of history and culture. \"The study of the Uzbek cultural heritage at such a prestigious scientific center will further enhance the prestige of our country,\" Saida Mirziyoyeva emphasized.

Thus, the teaching of the Uzbek language at Oxford University is considered an important step towards wider promotion of not only the language, but also the culture, literature, and history of the nation on a global scale.
