The President of Uzbekistan received the head of DFC Corporation
On November 6, within the framework of the business program of the visit to Washington, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Director General of the United States Corporation for International Financial Development (DFC) Ben Black.
DFC is a U.S. national development institution engaged in the mobilization of private capital for the implementation of infrastructure and industrial projects in developing countries.
At the meeting, the active contacts at the highest level and the expansion of trade and investment cooperation were noted with satisfaction. Large joint initiatives are being developed in the fields of energy, essential minerals, finance, transport, agriculture, and IT.
Special attention was paid to deepening practical partnership. Specific measures were considered to accelerate the creation of a joint investment platform for financing priority projects, support small businesses, as well as the opening of a regional office of the corporation in Tashkent.
The Head of our state noted the importance of the corporation\'s participation in the implementation of infrastructure projects on the basis of public-private partnership.
