Most kindergartens operate in Samarkand

By the end of 2024, a total of 38,058 preschool education organizations (PEO) were operating in Uzbekistan. Most of them, 28,729, are private family kindergartens.

Over the past year, the number of PEOs in the country increased by 2,085. This shows the growing demand for quality early childhood education.

By region, Samarkand leads with 4,507 PEOs. Andijan, Kashkadarya, and Fergana regions also stand out with active kindergartens, their number close to 4 thousand.

The fewest PEOs are in Sirdarya region (1,145) and Tashkent city (1,047). Overall, work is being carried out to expand preschool education in all regions of the country.
