What will the weather be like in winter?
In Uzbekistan, December is expected to be slightly warmer than normal. Uzhydromet has released a seasonal weather forecast prepared for the 2025-2026 winter season.
The average temperature for December will be 1-1.5 degrees above normal. In the first ten days, warm weather will prevail at night in the range of 0...+5 degrees, during the day in the range of +10...+15. In the following ten days, the temperature will fluctuate from +2...+7 degrees at night to 0...-5 degrees, and during the day from +12...+17 degrees to +2...+7 degrees. Precipitation is also expected to be within the normal range.
January will generally be close to normal, and in some areas, the weather will be slightly colder. East wind 7-12 m/s. Temperature at night from +3...+8° to -3...-8°, during the day from +10...+15° to -2...+3°. In the third ten-day period, abnormally cold weather will begin, reaching -17°C in some regions, and even -20...-25°C around Nukus and Urgench.
February will be close to the long-term norm. In the first ten days, the cold will continue, and in the following days, the temperature will noticeably warm up: at night it is expected to rise from -2...-7 degrees to +3...+8 degrees, during the day to +10...+15 degrees. In the south, it can reach +15...+20 degrees.
The agency noted that the forecast was prepared for the preparation of economic sectors and the population for possible frosts. Changes depending on the actual weather are also possible.
