Today, on April 3, a strong earthquake occurred in Afghanistan. This was reported by the Republican Seismoprognostic Monitoring Center.

It is reported that the earthquake occurred at 21:12. The epicenter was located 526 km southeast of Tashkent, with a magnitude of 6 and a depth of 207 km. The epicenter is in Badakhshan, Afghanistan. The coordinates of the area: 36.69 degrees north latitude and 70.76 degrees east longitude.

In various regions of Uzbekistan, the earthquake was felt with the following intensity:

  • Surkhandarya — 3 points, 314 km
  • Fergana — 2-3 points, 420 km
  • Sirdarya — 2-3 points, 457 km
  • Jizzakh — 2-3 points, 457 km
  • Samarkand — 2-3 points, 468 km
  • Andijan — 2-3 points, 477 km
  • Namangan — 2-3 points, 485 km
  • Kashkadarya — 2-3 points, 499 km
  • Tashkent region — 2-3 points, 520 km
  • Tashkent city — 2-3 points, 526 km
