The release of the 500,000 som banknote has been rejected: Confirmed by the Central Bank

On April 6, news spread on social media about the release of a 500,000 som banknote in Uzbekistan, mentioning that it would feature an image of Mirzo Ulughbek. These reports quickly spread and caused public discussions.
However, according to information provided by the Central Bank\'s press service to \"Daryo,\" the reports circulating on the network are not true. The Central Bank urged the public to trust only official sources.

According to him, the main focus is on achieving the inflation target. He further stated that certain changes in the market have affected the structure of banknote denominations.
Furthermore, the reports about the 500,000 som banknote featuring the image of Mirzo Ulughbek have not been confirmed by official sources. The bank stated that such actions are merely misinformation.
