A baby was born in a Korean town for the first time in 17 years

In a small town in South Korea, a child was born for the first time in the last 17 years. This was reported by “Good News Network.”

It is specified that this concerns Inha-myeon district in Honsong County. There, on March 19 of this year, a local family and an immigrant woman from Cambodia had a baby boy. In honor of the newborn, a congratulatory banner was even installed on the main street.

Local authorities called this event a “special gift” for the town, whose population has sharply decreased in recent years (from 2600 to 2000 people).

In addition, the residents noted another positive sign: four new students were enrolled in the only school in the area, bringing the total number of students to 17.

The town mayor emphasized that he intends to strengthen support for families and reminded that the district will become even more attractive for living and convenient for visitors.
