First flying taxi in Central Asia: Kazakhstan surprises

Kazakhstan has become one of the first in Central Asia to test a flying taxi. The device can reach speeds of 200 kilometers per hour and cover a distance of up to 200 kilometers on a single charge.
The air taxi is designed for one pilot and five passengers and is equipped with 13 electric motors. Operating on electricity, the air taxi will help reduce traffic congestion, connect tourist sites, and significantly shorten travel time.
According to Almaty Region Governor Marat Sultangaziyev, $250 million has been invested in the project. “Compared to other modes of transport, the device operates with much lower noise levels and does not emit carbon dioxide.
In accordance with safety requirements, the first test flight was conducted without passengers,” the governor's office reported. The service is expected to be fully operational by 2029.
