Japanese Metaplanet to Acquire 21,000 BTC by 2026

Japan’s Metaplanet has announced plans to acquire 21,000 bitcoins worth $2 billion by the end of 2026. According to Bloomberg, the company’s stock has surged 4,800% over the past 12 months.

Metaplanet has outlined its Bitcoin investment strategy for 2025-2026 and has been consistently investing in cryptocurrency since the beginning of the year. Crypto assets are increasingly becoming a new standard, where traditional companies are expected to hold them at least as reserve assets.
