Rostelecom plans to produce its own smart TVs

The Russian company Rostelecom is preparing to enter the smart TV market. The company aims to introduce devices running on its own Aurora TV operating system. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports .

According to the plan, between 150,000 and 200,000 TVs will be produced by the end of 2026. In the initial stage, the public sector is seen as the primary customer, and the company plans to capture 30% of the market within the next three years.

The TVs will be available in screen sizes ranging from 24 to 55 inches. The devices will be equipped with the Elektra DRM digital content protection system and the Aurora TV operating system, which includes an AI assistant.

The TVs will also provide free access to federal channels without the need for an additional digital module. Rostelecom is also considering the possibility of installing its operating system on TVs from other manufacturers in the future.
