Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Executive Director of UN-Habitat

On May 18, within the framework of the World Urban Forum, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the UN Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) Anacláudia Rossbach. The meeting discussed prospects for expanding cooperation on sustainable urban development, improving urban infrastructure, and introducing modern approaches in urban planning. The implementation of agreements reached last year during the Samarkand Climate Forum was also reviewed.

The parties emphasized the importance of further developing cooperation, including the preparation of a joint \"roadmap,\" promoting industry projects, and strengthening ties between experts.

During the conversation, a detailed exchange of views took place regarding the implementation of initiatives put forward by the President of Uzbekistan at the World Urban Forum.
