Free tax reporting for new entrepreneurs for the first 6 months

A revolutionary step has been taken in our country to comprehensively support small and medium-sized businesses and create relief for entrepreneurs just starting out. Now, for newly established business entities, the service of submitting tax and financial reports to government agencies will be completely free of charge for the first six months. This innovation will take effect from July 1 of this year officially.
Presidential Decree: A gateway to new opportunities for business
This procedure is reflected in the historic decree signed by the head of state, 'On measures to institutionally improve the activities of tax authorities and introduce modern approaches to tax administration.'
According to the document, at the request of new business representatives, during the first 6 months the processes of preparing and sending tax and financial reporting documents by the 'Soliq-servis' joint-stock company will be performed free of charge, without any fees. This prevents unnecessary expenses and loss of time for new entrepreneurs.
The main goal of these reforms is to raise the quality of tax services to international standards and strengthen entrepreneurs' trust in government agencies. Furthermore, Uzbekistan has set a major goal to reach the highest — first level — in the prestigious World Bank's 'Business Ready' rating in the tax category by 2030.
Fewer inspections, opportunity to correct errors
With the new decree, the principle of supporting entrepreneurs rather than intimidating them is becoming central to the tax system. Therefore, starting from July 1 of this year, the following reliefs will also be implemented:
Obligations abolished: The obligation to submit clarified tax reports or excessive supporting documents regarding discrepancies identified during pre-inspection analysis is completely abolished.
Warning system: Business representatives with a medium tax risk level will first receive a special notification about identified shortcomings. If the entrepreneur corrects these errors within one month voluntarily, no tax audit will be conducted against them.
Entrepreneurs themselves evaluate service quality
Also, starting from August 1 of this year a special 'Customer Orientation Index' evaluating the activities of tax authorities will be implemented. Through this system, taxpayers themselves will have the opportunity to directly evaluate the quality, speed, and convenience of services provided by tax officials. This is of great importance in preventing corruption and ensuring transparency in the system.
In your opinion, to what extent will the opportunity for new entrepreneurs to submit reports for free boost the faster development of small businesses in our country?
