Citizen arrested for trying to sell substandard medicine

A man has been detained in Tashkent for attempting to sell a large batch of low-quality and unapproved medical products.

According to the investigation, the suspect, born in 1976, agreed to sell 72,000 medical items for 111 million UZS and was caught while receiving a 30 million UZS advance payment.

Further inspection of his residence and vehicle revealed 72,389 units of medical goods and 867 boxes of medications like “Magnikum”, “Relok”, and “Dizenteron”, with a total market value of 240 million UZS.

The State Center for Pharmaceutical Safety concluded that these medicines were substandard, improperly stored, and banned for sale, transport, or medical use.

A criminal case has been initiated against the individual, and investigative procedures are ongoing. Authorities stated that strict actions will be taken against such illegal activities.
