Student arrested for trying to get admission in exchange for bribe

A student of Pskov University in Russia has been caught in Termiz, Surxondaryo region, for taking a bribe in exchange for helping an acquaintance get admitted to the university.

Reportedly, the student promised to arrange admission for his friend and demanded $1,000 in return. He was detained at the moment of receiving 12.7 million UZS as part of the deal.

Authorities have launched a criminal case and are conducting a full investigation. Legal actions will be taken against the suspect as per the law.
