Within the framework of the “Safe and Healthy Country” comprehensive operational and preventive measures, an operational measure was carried out against illegal drug trafficking in cooperation with the Khorezm regional department of the State Security Service, customs and internal affairs bodies.

As it turned out, the person checked in the parking lot in the district center lives in the Urgut district of the Samarkand region and was born in 2001. During the check, 1 kg 460 grams of heroin and 27 grams of opium were found illegally hidden in the welding equipment (welding machine) in his luggage.

According to preliminary information, this person planned to earn money by first purchasing drugs from Tajikistan and selling them to clients in the Khorezm region. Currently, a criminal case has been opened against him, and operational-investigative actions are actively underway to identify other persons involved in this crime.

The State Security Service calls on the population to report such violations by calling the short number 1520. The confidentiality of the personal data of applicants is also guaranteed.

This incident once again demonstrated the prompt and effective actions of state bodies in ensuring public safety and legality.
