An InfinBANK employee killed a client and threw the body into a canal
On social media, various reports spread that an InfinBANK employee killed his client and threw his body into a canal. QALAMPIR.UZ contacted the press secretary of the General Prosecutor’s Office, Hayot Shamsutdinov, to clarify the situation.
According to him, on March 31, 2026, at 08:14, a resident of Abdurahmon Jomiy village, “Afghan” MFY, Uzbekistan district, X.Z., contacted the regional police duty unit and reported that his nephew E.S. had gone to the “Infin bank” ATB Kokand branch on March 30 to sign a contract and had not returned.
The scene was inspected by an urgent-investigation group with specialists, and all relevant procedural documents were formalized.
During the investigation, the credit department employee of the “Infin bank” ATB Kokand branch, A.T., gave a confession. He stated that E.S. came to the branch for a car loan as part of a promotion, a dispute occurred, and until 13:00 they were together, after which they went in a Tracker car to the “Taraqqiyot” MFY area and quarreled. During the conflict, A.T. struck E.S. several times on the neck with a kitchen knife and deliberately killed him.
E.S.’s body was left in the car, and after work, A.T. threw it into the canal. He drove the car to the Katta Fargona Canal, “Toshash” neighborhood, dumped the body into the water, and discarded the bloody knife and other items on the roadside.
Currently, FVV specialists of Fergana region are taking measures to search for and locate the body.
The Kokand city prosecutor’s office initiated a criminal case against A.T. under Article 97, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan (premeditated murder) and detained him in accordance with Article 221 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
