Rio Ferdinand: "I watched this boy play from the stadium..."

English football legend and former Manchester United center-back Rio Ferdinand made a bold statement about the best player in the world today. According to him, that title belongs to Barcelona\'s 17-year-old talent Lamine Yamal.
Speaking to Championat, Ferdinand praised Yamal\'s playing style and maturity:
\"I absolutely love this kid. He plays football like he’s 28 years old. He makes calm and composed decisions even under pressure. I watched him live during the Champions League semifinal against Inter. That first half was one of the best I’ve seen in recent years.\"
In the 2023/24 season, Lamine Yamal played 54 matches for Barcelona, scoring 18 goals and delivering 25 assists.
