Sergey Tashuyev Opposes Calling Dzyuba to the National Team
Russian coach Sergey Tashuyev commented on the topic of the national team's scoring record and the possibility of recalling Artyom Dzyuba. Tashuyev emphasized that statistics are facts, but players should be called up to the national team not for records or beautiful stories, but because they are the strongest at the current moment.

For this reason, he said that he sees no special meaning in inviting Dzyuba back to the national team. As is known, following a recent FIFA decision, the authorship of a goal scored against Germany in 2005 may be reconsidered.

If that goal is reassigned from Andrey Arshavin to Aleksandr Kerzhakov, the number of goals scored for the Russian national team by Kerzhakov and Dzyuba will be tied at 31 each.
