Barcelona defender Fort undergoes surgery

Barcelona right-back Hector Fort picked up an injury while playing on loan for Elche. This was reported by euro-football.ru.reports.

The 19-year-old managed to score in the 6th minute of last round’s match against Rayo Vallecano, but in the 12th minute he could not continue due to a shoulder dislocation. According to Sport, Fort has undergone surgery and his recovery is expected to take several weeks.

Fort has recorded 2 goals and 2 assists in 12 appearances for Elche. Reports say Barcelona’s management are pleased with his loan spell and believe he can comfortably compete for a place in Hans-Dieter Flick’s squad next season.
