Who did Gary Cahill choose as Chelsea's Player of the Season?

Although the 2025-26 season was difficult for Chelsea, the question of who the team's best player is remains on fans' minds. Former London defender Gary Cahill revealed his choice in an interview with GOAL. This is reported by Goal.com .
According to Cahill, Joao Pedro, who joined the squad for £60 million, showed more consistency than stars like Cole Palmer and Enzo Fernandez. Pedro managed to score 20 goals throughout the season and proved himself in various positions.
After head coach Enzo Maresca was dismissed, Chelsea went through a difficult period. However, Joao Pedro proved he would become an important player for new head coach Xabi Alonso, acting effectively in both the attacking line and midfield.
Gary Cahill highlighted the player's versatility: "Whether he plays as a number 10, a number 9, or on the wings, he always stood out. He added goals and assists to his game; he is a true top player."
Meanwhile, Enzo Fernandez also performed effectively throughout the season, scoring 14 goals and drawing comparisons to Frank Lampard. Nevertheless, Cahill considers Pedro to be the team's best performer.
