Borussia Dortmund misses out on top transfer target

Borussia Dortmund has failed in its pursuit of Samuel Martinez, one of their primary targets for the summer transfer window. According to reports, the German club had reached an agreement with the 17-year-old talented striker, but the deal ultimately collapsed. This is reported by Goal.com .

According to Sky and AS, Samuel Martinez is close to joining Liverpool for approximately 1 million euros. It is reported that Borussia Dortmund could not meet certain transfer conditions. The transfer will be finalized after the player undergoes a medical examination in England.

Colombia's Atletico Nacional will also receive a percentage of any future transfer fee for Martinez. The player cannot fully join Liverpool until he turns 18 in April 2027, but the official agreement is expected to be completed at the end of the current season.

Meanwhile, former Borussia Dortmund striker Youssoufa Moukoko has managed to prove himself at Danish side Copenhagen. He scored a brace in the match against Brondby, securing his team's qualification for the Conference League qualifying round.

This season has not been easy for Moukoko, as he had lost his place in the starting lineup. However, by scoring six goals in the last six matches, he has helped his team out of a difficult situation. Last season, Copenhagen faced Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
