Vinicius Junior speaks about his relationship with Kylian Mbappe

Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior has put an end to rumors regarding his relationship with teammate Kylian Mbappe. The Brazilian star called the French striker a "legendary" player and expressed confidence in his future success at the Santiago Bernabeu. Vinicius emphasized that they have built a close friendship both on and off the pitch. This is reported by Goal.com .

Media reports had suggested friction between the two stars since Mbappe joined Real Madrid in 2024. However, Vinicius denied this in an interview with CazeTV: "Mbappe is a great person. He has always defended me in his interviews, especially during the racism incident after the Benfica match. He is a legendary player who will leave his mark on Real Madrid history."

The connection between the forwards goes beyond training at Valdebebas. According to Vinicius, they also spend their free time together. "Whenever we can, we are together, spending time like friends. I sent him many messages before he arrived, asking him to play with us. Although we aren't winning the trophies fans expect just yet, we will change the situation soon," he added.

Previously, the press reported that Mbappe felt isolated in the dressing room and that Vinicius was trying to portray him as the "villain" of the team. However, the Brazilian's latest statement proves these rumors are baseless.

During his two seasons with Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappe has played 65 matches in La Liga, scoring 56 goals. The French forward won the "Pichichi" trophy as the league's top scorer for the second consecutive year with 25 goals, surpassing rivals like Vedat Muriqi and Ante Budimir.
