SpaceXAI and Anthropic launch partnership in artificial intelligence

SpaceXAI has announced a strategic partnership with Anthropic. Under this agreement, developers of the Claude AI model will gain access to the world's largest and fastest Colossus 1 supercomputer cluster. This platform is equipped with over 220,000 NVIDIA GPUs, including H100, H200, and next-generation GB200 accelerators. This is reported by Ixbt.com .

Anthropic representatives noted that the additional computing power will significantly increase the efficiency of Claude Pro and Claude Max services. These resources are designed for high-performance tasks such as training large language models, generative AI, and scientific simulations.

The companies are also working on an even larger project: creating orbital AI systems with gigawatt-scale power. Experts believe that future AI models will require so much energy and cooling that ground-based infrastructure may not suffice. SpaceX aims to access nearly unlimited energy sources by utilizing space platforms.

SpaceX intends to turn this idea from a scientific concept into a practical engineering program, leveraging its rocket launch speed and experience in managing orbital constellations. As a reminder, SpaceX fully acquired xAI in February 2026. Currently, xAI has ceased operations as a separate entity and has been integrated under the SpaceXAI brand within SpaceX.
