Rosatom and Magnit test quantum computing in retail

Rosatom and Magnit have successfully completed their first project on implementing quantum computing in the retail sector. As a pilot, a logistics and supply optimization system based on linear programming was developed. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports .

The use of quantum technologies has enabled a 30-40% increase in the efficiency of shipment planning. This project confirms the potential of quantum computing and provides new solutions for improving demand forecasting and supply chain management.

The created prototype is a software product that allows for the transition from classical methods to hybrid quantum-classical and full quantum computing. The companies plan to implement these technologies on a large scale in the retail system by 2030-2035.

Experts are continuing research in areas such as quantum optimization and machine learning. These efforts are expected to provide companies with competitive advantages and significantly accelerate business processes in the future.
