Google integrates Street View data with Genie world model

Google has integrated its Street View service with the Project Genie AI model. This innovation allows users to interactively model real-world streets and artificially adjust various conditions, such as weather. This was reported by Techcrunch.com reporting .
Google DeepMind researcher Jack Parker-Holder noted that this technology is of great importance in the field of robotics. For example, it is possible to simulate real environments to prepare robots for rare conditions, such as sunlight or snowy weather.
Over the past 20 years, Google has collected more than 280 billion images from 110 countries. When this vast database is combined with the Genie 3 model, it becomes an effective tool not only for games or education but also for training Waymo autonomous driving systems in complex scenarios.
The Genie 3 model allows users to create interactive worlds using text prompts or images. The addition of Street View data makes simulations even more realistic and allows them to be viewed from different perspectives, including the viewpoint of pedestrians or robots.
