Google IO 2026: Antigravity 2.0 unveiled with updated desktop app and CLI tool

At the Google IO 2026 conference, the company showcased the new version of its agentic coding application — Google Antigravity 2.0. The updated platform includes a desktop app, a CLI tool, and an SDK for custom workflows. Launched last year in response to competitors like Cursor, Antigravity now allows users to manage multiple agents simultaneously and execute tasks in parallel. This is reported by Techcrunch.com reports .
Through the new desktop app, users can design custom sub-agent workflows and schedule tasks that run automatically in the background. Integration of projects with Google AI Studio, Android, and Firebase has also become easier. Most of these capabilities are powered by the company's new Gemini 3.5 Flash model; interestingly, the model itself was developed using Antigravity.
Google has also added native voice command support to the Antigravity system, similar to products like Gmail and Docs. For developers who prefer working via the terminal, the new Antigravity CLI tool has been launched. The company is asking previous Gemini CLI users to migrate to the new tool. Meanwhile, Google Cloud customers can now build their projects via Antigravity and use ready-made templates within AI Studio.
Major changes are also expected in search: using Google Antigravity capabilities, Search will provide users with real-time generated interfaces. This allows users to create small applications directly within the search process. Regarding pricing, a new $100/month AI Ultra plan has been introduced, and the price of the top-tier AI Ultra plan has been reduced from $250 to $200.
