Xiaomi 17 Max: 8000 mAh battery and twice as powerful as iPhone 17 Pro Max
Renowned insider Digital Chat Station has revealed the key technical specifications of the upcoming Xiaomi 17 Max flagship. The device will feature a 6.9-inch RGB OLED screen with thin symmetrical bezels. The smartphone's performance is driven by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. The most notable feature of the new flagship is its 8000 mAh capacity battery. The device supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging technology. For the flagship segment, this is a massive figure, especially impressive given the slim body and high-performance platform.
In a test video released by Xiaomi, the Xiaomi 17 Max outperformed two iPhone 17 Pro Max units in terms of autonomous operation time. The flagship lasted 33.3 hours in video playback mode, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max lasted approximately 16 hours. This indicates that the new model has extremely high energy efficiency.
The camera system was developed in collaboration with Leica. The main module includes a 1/1.4-inch 200-megapixel sensor. There is also a 50-megapixel periscopic telephoto lens (3x optical zoom) and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera. Xiaomi executive Lu Weibing has already presented the first sample photos taken with this smartphone.
Additionally, the device's secondary parameters, such as speakers, vibration motor, and protection rating, have been significantly improved. For reference, Digital Chat Station previously accurately predicted the specifications of the Xiaomi 15 series and Realme GT 7 Pro before their official launch.
