Startup Fresha Reaches $1 Billion Valuation with KKR Investment

Fresha, a booking platform for beauty and wellness services, announced that it has raised $80 million in investment from the KKR investment fund. Following this financial support, the London-founded startup's total valuation has exceeded $1 billion, officially granting it "unicorn" status. This is reported by Techcrunch.com .

The investment was made by KKR’s Next Generation Technology Growth fund. This fund typically supports companies with established business models that are in an aggressive expansion phase. This indicates that Fresha has moved past its risky early stages and is ready for global growth.

Founded in 2015, the company has seen remarkable growth in recent years. While 60,000 businesses were registered on the platform in 2021, that number has now exceeded 140,000. Currently, more than 35 million appointments and services are booked through Fresha every month, totaling over 1 billion annually.

To date, the company has raised a total of $285 million in investment. Fresha's management plans to use the new funds to expand its international operations and introduce new features based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology to the platform.
