Micro Center offers free motherboard to Ryzen 7 9850X3D buyers
Major US retailer Micro Center has started offering highly beneficial bundles for users building new PCs or planning system upgrades. As part of a special promotion, a bundle consisting of an 8-core Ryzen 7 9850X3D processor and an Asus B850-E TUF Gaming motherboard can be purchased for $500. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports.
For comparison, $500 is the recommended retail price of the processor, although it can currently be found in the US for around $450. This means the buyer is essentially getting the motherboard for free. Additionally, an expanded version of this bundle with 32 GB of DDR5 Corsair Vengeance RGB memory is being sold for $700.
According to the store's calculations, one can save up to $370 with this offer compared to buying the components separately. For more budget-friendly builds, a bundle consisting of an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D and an ASUS B650E WiFi motherboard is offered for $400.
The most affordable option features a Ryzen 7500X3D processor and an ASRock B850M-C motherboard, priced at just $300. Such promotions serve to increase demand for new-generation processors.
