Starship launch from the front row: Exclusive footage from the GoPro Mission 1 camera
GoPro has unveiled stunning footage of the Starship V3 rocket launch. Captured directly from the launch pad using a GoPro Mission 1 camera, the video reveals every detail of the event. The company also released a 4K slow-motion video at 240 fps. This is reported by Ixbt.com news.
The Starship V3 rocket stands nearly 124 meters tall, with a total thrust exceeding 18 million pounds (approximately 80,000 kN). GoPro experts note that this power is equivalent to the thrust of 31 Boeing 747 passenger planes operating at full capacity simultaneously. Previously, SpaceX showcased the landing of the Starship S39 ship following its 12th test flight.
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk explained why a high thrust-to-weight ratio is crucial for future rockets. According to him, transitioning to fully reusable systems will fundamentally change flight economics. The company aims to launch over 10,000 rockets per year, meaning at least one Starship flight every hour.
It is reported that during the latest flight, Starship successfully deployed all 22 Starlink satellite simulators, including two modifications specifically adapted for imaging. During the 12th flight, SpaceX set a record by carrying approximately 45 tons of payload into orbit. Currently, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is considering an investigation into post-flight events.
